Dr. Brito Benzo is a doctor of law, graduated at the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo UASD and possesses different international master level studies among which are the "Master in Constitutional Law and public Law" by the University of Castilla la Mancha- and the office of the Commissioner of Support to the Reform and modernization of justice, in Spain, as well as the "Master in Constitutional procedural law" by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana- in Colombia. As well as specializing in criminal law, criminal proceedings and constitutional litigation by the University of San Andres- in Argentina. He also has different specializations such as the postgraduate in criminal procedural law of the Dominican Republic by the Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo UASD, postgraduate in Airfare and commerce law, by the Universidad Nacional Pedro Henriquez Urena UNPHU, the international course of constitutional law with emphasis in constitutional procedural law by the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana – in Colombia, courses in labor law and Social Security, enterprises, corporation and investment, Constitutional law, Labor and labor reform, international investment and fund acquisition’s law. Dr. Brito Benzo has given speeches in seminars and international courses, such as "The VII inter-American Meeting of labor Law and Social Security and V International Meeting of the Labour lawyers" with the motto "the Right Working towards the Latin American integration ", by the Cuban Society of labor law, in Cuba under the sponsorship of the American Association of Jurists, the Latin American Association of Labor Lawyers and the participation of the National Lawyers Guild, has also participate as special speaker at the XXVIII Ibero-American Conference "the Worker: a human resource" by the Ibero-American Association of Labor Law and Social Security Guillermo Cabanellas in Lima Peru and as exhibitor in the International course of law Constitutional and administrative by the University of Salamanca, Spain. Dr. Brito Benzo has deep experience in foreign investment, commerce and labor law,immigration and real state investment.
Dr. Brito Benzo is a founding partner of Brito Benzo & Asociados, notary lawyers. He has more than 30 years of extensive experience in the practice of the profession both in the public sector and in the private sector, concentrating his practice in litigation.
He has successfully represented the interests of Dominican and foreign citizens on Dominican soil. His practice specializes in labor law, criminal law, family constitutional and migratory law, having exercised intensively as a litigant for more than two decades.
In addition to being recognized for his great leadership as a litigator in the field of labor law in the Dominican Republic, Dr. Brito Benzo has been a tax consultant, senior assistant to the Director of internal revenues of the Dominican Republic (today Directorate General of Internal Taxation of the DGII Republic), consultant in regulation of markets and national competence, in criminal matters and constitutional law.
Dr. Brito Benzo was preselected in 2010 by the National Judiciary Council to hold the position of judge of the Dominican Constitutional Court.
